(landscape) documentation in architectural diagrams and drawings on following
topics:
1. Draw the site plan out of google maps in scale 1/500. Estimate the topology.
Precision is not a requirement. Delivery of a DWG drawing and a rhino 3d model.
2. Analysis of the surrounding buildings, in terms of building heights and
facades, architectural styles.
3. Analysis of the functions in public and private space, day and
night...summer-winter... what is there? what is missing...
4. Analysis of the movements and streams... cars, pedestrians, day- night,

5. Historical review, with maps and history of the area in the past.
We can talk about first questions on Tuesday, 14.30h at the Beirut Campus, Nicol

Dear Students, our meeting tomorrow will take place at the room LRC21 in the Beirut campus. We start at 1330 and finish at 1545h. Please also notice that the Studio dates set on the syllabus can unfortunately not be changed, thus i´m reminding you:
04.11.2010 : Final presentation of the first phase, and finished Prototype. Please also prepare a pdf presentation (A4 flat) showing diagrams of your evolution research models, manufacturing drawings, different variations and pictures. The diagrams should be in a vectorized form. Please also deliver a CD with the pdf presentation and your rhino files, all placed in a folder with your name.
Looking forward for your exciting work, see you tomorrow in Beirut!

for next meeting....
dear students, please focus on generating a digital 3d model, based on a certain investigation concerning spatial, geometrical and structural criteria. We are searching for a systematic approach on a spatial condition. I spoke with almost everyone on Thursday, so I´m kindly asking those, who did not speak with me, to do it next time! Please send me some rhino snapshots of your spatial research, thus i can place it on the blog! Remember, the presentation for the prototyping face is 04.11.2010!
See you next week!

what to do till the next meeting...
all students are kindly requested to prepare a digital 3d model, investigating a spatial-geometrical condition, in association we the 3d tools and techniques learned: surface conditions, density differentiation, sweep algorithms, spatial growth, pattern gradients, volumetric transformation, lofted splines, ect... a physical model is not necessary yet, but definitely helpful! The studies may not by arbitrary, but based on a systematic approach. Asterios will hold individual talks with all the students! see you on Thursday!
